What Antigravity does well

Multi-agent orchestration in the desktop app. Antigravity 2.0’s headline feature is the ability to run multiple agents in parallel — one writing tests, one refactoring legacy code, one investigating a bug — and watch them work in a unified UI. The closest competing product is Devin, but Antigravity gives you that orchestration locally with full transparency, not in a black-box cloud sandbox.

The Managed Agents API is genuinely useful. Spinning up an isolated Linux sandbox with a single API call is the kind of infrastructure that previously required cobbling together AWS or Modal. Antigravity bundles it into the platform.

Gemini 3.5 Flash is fast. Google’s claim that 3.5 Flash beats 3.1 Pro on coding/agentic benchmarks at 4× speed is, anecdotally, holding up in practice. Agent loops feel snappier than equivalent Claude Code or Codex flows.

Four-surface coverage. Most harnesses pick one or two surfaces (Claude Code = CLI; Cursor = IDE). Antigravity bundles CLI + Desktop + SDK + Cloud into one product. Developers who shift between contexts (CLI for prototyping, desktop for review, cloud for CI) get one mental model.
